Dunedin based artist Nic Dempster has been part of the city’s art scene since the early 2000s. His distinctive style is well recognisable and his bold, cubist influenced style has developed from earlier landscapes, rural scenes and landmark buildings to more recently reflecting his love for architecture, colour and design. He also plays with ideas of urbanisation, the impact it has on the natural environment and our infatuation with property. ‘Urban Planning’ is a must see of the Dunedin Arts Festival.
