AUSTRIA
Following on from her highly successful visit in 2018 with Beloved Muse, and international tours of performances about Emilie Flöge and Bertha von Suttner, Maxi Blaha returns to Dunedin for her only New Zealand appearance to present a highly-anticipated new show, Alma Who?.
A sizzling and unsparing homage to femme fatale Alma Mahler and her doomed relationship with the poet and bohemian Franz Werfel, Alma Who? looks far beyond Mahler’s role as a source of inspiration to artists of Vienna’s golden age to present a rich portrait of a central figure of Viennese Modernism.
The Mayfair Theatre does not have disabled access. The easiest access into the auditorium is via one flight of stairs (18 steps) and up a slight ramp to get into the halfway point of the auditorium to row J which we recommend as the best seats for patrons with reduced mobility. Toilets are located at the very top of the stairs in the foyer.
